Trust

Trust, security & privacy.

This page is maintained by the Sovereignty Summit team to answer common questions about how we handle your data. It is editable project content, not an independent certification.

What this page is

We describe the security and privacy practices currently in place for the sovereigntysummit.nz website and the data it collects from visitors. It reflects what is actually configured today and will be updated as the site evolves.

Data we collect

The website collects the information you choose to send through the contact form: your name, email address, optional subject, and message. We do not run account sign-ups for the public website, and we do not collect payment information directly on this site.

How that data is used

Contact form submissions are used to reply to your enquiry and to plan and run the Sovereignty Summit. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Access controls

Contact submissions are stored in our managed database with row-level security enabled. Reads are restricted to our backend service role; signed-in website visitors cannot read other people's submissions. Inputs are validated both in the application and at the database layer.

Hosting & platform

The site is built with Lovable and runs on Lovable Cloud, which provides managed hosting, database, and authentication infrastructure. Platform-level security features such as encryption in transit and managed backups are handled by the platform provider. This page does not claim independent certification of those controls.

Cookies & analytics

The site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Data retention & deletion

Contact submissions are retained while they are relevant to organising the event. If you would like your submission deleted, email us at the address below and we will remove it.

Privacy requests & security contact

For privacy requests, data deletion, or to report a potential security issue, please email info@sovereigntysummit.nz. We aim to acknowledge security reports promptly.

Changes to this page

We update this page as our practices change. It is owner-maintained content and is not an audit report or compliance certification.
